Argentina
Argentina is located in South America’s Southern Cone. It is the eighth-largest country in the world, with 47 million people. Our country is a melting pot, with the vast majority of our citizens of European descent. Argentina is very rich in natural resources, including fresh water, minerals and hydrocarbons. Known as the “granary of the world,” our country is one of the world’s largest food producers, growing enough to feed more 400 million people a year. The literacy rate among Argentines is nearly 100%.
Argentina has more than 30 airports, such as the Ezeiza International Airport, the largest in Argentina, with flights arriving from all over the world; and Jorge Newbery Airport, the main hub for domestic flights, located in the capital city of Buenos Aires.
